Flat Rent Schedule

Family Choice of Rental Payments/Annual Rent Options
2024 Flat Rent Schedule

The Housing Authorities' residents are provided the option annually to choose between paying income-based rent or the flat rent, which is based on the market rent charged for comparable units in the private unassisted market. 24 CFR 960.253(a) requires the option be given to residents annually but stipulates the authority may not give the option more than once per year, except in the case the resident has chosen flat rent and experiences a financial hardship.

**The flat rent amount a family pays is not locked in for the three year period. It is subject to change each year as the authority reviews and revises per regulatory guidance.
